Five Ways to Create Happiness and Success!

Simplifying life is about more than just decluttering. It’s about creating a life that you’re excited about. One that allows you to enjoy the fruits of your labor and brings you happiness and success. What does success look like for you?

Here are some strategies to help create happiness and success, on your terms.

1 – Dream BIG and have passion
If you’re fortunate enough to have passion for your work, you’re in a better position than most people. It’s important to think and dream big. What have you always wanted to do, but haven’t done yet? Don’t let fear get in the way. What are you passionate about? Are you spending your time doing the things that you love? If not, you need to start doing so… today.

2 – Write down your goals
People that feel they are successful know that it doesn’t happen by accident. It requires effective goal setting and planning. Writing down your goals increases your chance of achieving them significantly! If you don’t already, start writing down your goals and looking at them as often as possible. This process motivates you to take some action toward reaching them!

3 – Believe in yourself and your abilities
If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will. Everyone has unique talents and abilities that should be shared with the world. Avoid negative self-talk which depletes our confidence and go for it!

4 – Always do your best because everything you do matters
I was fortunate enough to meet Debbie Fields, aka “Mrs. Fields”, the cookie giant several years ago at a women’s conference. She spoke about always doing your best and said, “Good enough never is!”. And she’s right. When we do our best in all we do, we feel a sense of accomplishment that we can’t experience when we shortcut or do “just enough” to get by.

5 – Treat people with respect and kindness
Looking at what is going on in our county today, I can’t help but think how much better off we’d be if we all treated each other with respect and kindness. We can all be agents of change. Instead of waiting for someone else to make the first move, we should. And when someone does something kind for us, we should pay it forward.
